  1. I was Stationed at Sullivan barracks, from April 1992 to May 1994 I scored 1000 during tank gunnery at Graph in 1992. I was also the Dj at the club downtown called the Alcazar, or zoo. I am looking for My mechanic that worked on my m-1 his name is Aaron Bennett. Look everywhere can not find him. Also when I left i didn’t know i have got my girl friend pregnant. Her name is Sylvia, I really forgot her last name or maybe I’m spelling it wrong, I think its Larivichi. Can anyone maybe help me locate her, or give me a website to locate war babies. I’m going crazy knowing I have a baby girl over their i can’t see her, just once. I know my baby girls was born in May 1994, the day I left Germany. She was born in the Ludwigshofen hospital, that is all I know. I don’t speak good German. Thanks my Army Buds hope you have some infor\

  2. I know that through the years there have been many guys at Sullivan, but is there anyone out there from B Co. 3 68 Armor of the 8th Inf. Division from the years 1971 through 1974? Just curious to see who is still around.

  3. Was stationed at sullivan barracks from 1972 thru 1974. Had alot of good times and some bad. Worked as the supply truck driver and clerk. Sgt Brown was the supply sargeant and Jeff ( pookie) Laukner was the armorer. I remember Connors as the CO, Velez as TOP

  4. Was a radio operator in A battery of the 62nd AAA the first half of 1958. Was at Radio repair school at the time the 62nd was disbanded. any body out there from the sixty duce ?

  6. I was statationed with 5/68 Armor from Sept 1971 to May 1972. Does anyone remember the dates that we went to Grafenwoehr for Tank Gunnery during Sept and Oct 1971.

    • John. I don’t recall the dates but I do remember you. Who could ever forget ethnic night in the mess hall. Everyone was expecting black eyed peas and etc and you served Italian food…what a tour de’ force. How are you doing buddy?

  7. Was with 5/68 Armor 1971-1976 and 1977-1982, Most of my time was with C Company.

    • Sgt Boudreau. It was a pleasant surprise to see this post. I left there in August of 1982. I was with A, C, and HHC. I actually commanded B Co during REFORGER.
      Capt. David Ermi is my brother in law, having married my sister when he came back to Fort Knox in 1983. I hope you and your family are doing well. As I recall, you and SFC Mowrey were our Master Gunners.

    • SFC Conrad Bilodeau was a Master Gunner in 5/68. I think that’s who you remember.

      SFC Mowrey was there when I arrived in the fall of 1982. SFC Henery Allen was the BN MG. I was the A Co. Master Gunner.I remember SSG Larry Beauvais I think he was in A Company and later was the MG for C Company. I beleive he was killed on his Moter Cycle after I left in late 1985.

  8. Company C, 5/68th Armor, M60 tank (not the A1), C-33 loader, gunner and Assistant Tank Commander, June 1973 thru February 1975. Ron Guess was the initial driver, both SSG Wolf and SSG Holmes were gunners, 1LT Schultz was the TC. CPT Chanler and CPT Connors were the Company commanders. First SGTs were Cathey and Eddie Velez. One of our Company members, Pat Trornton, started a unit Face Book page in Dec 2011. Page title is “Company C, 5th Battalion,68th Armor at Sullivan Barracks, Mannheim, Germany”. Looking for any and all former unit members primarily from 1972 – 1976 but open to all. Currently about 18 FB unit members with many additional contacts; about 140 + photos and many, many fond memories Really great finding old friends.

    • I was in 1st plt.. C company 5/68 SS,G brunner was my TC , Then Velez took over 1st plt . I was a driver . Keith smith was my roommate we built our own rooms in the attic.anyone remember ted rios, i wasthere from 72 till 75 i reenlisted and went to ft. ord calif. i had goodtimes insullivan brks.

      I was in 1st. plt. C company 5/68 . Was a driver for SSG brunner then SSG Velez when he took over 1st plt. I remember you tully,and rios,keith smith. Had many good times there , i think of all my friends there often

    • Jim, i remember you and keith. I’ve got some pictures of the poolroom we built in the attic. I will try to post to share. i’m trying to learn how to use facebook. I was stationed there from 1972 thru 1974. I lived offbase with my wife for awhile. My MOS was tank turret repairman but I got into supply and got to drive the truck(which had a good heater). Sargeant Brown was the supply sargeant and Jeff Loechner (Pookie)was the armorer. Do you remember Dunn? i think his nickname was RAT. i think he left early 73. He drove the supply truck before me.
