    • Please tell me if this was the army base in landshut that had a new housing block development for refugees under the International Refuge Organization(IRO)? If yes, my family lived there until we emigrated to the USA in 1955.
I have been trying to discern information about this area. I do remember the Isar River in the back of the housing blocks. Any information, photos would be appreciated.

    • I was there march 1952 until septtember of 1953. “C” battery 74th FAB˜

    • hello oksana fuller,
perhaps I can help you. I know the house you mean, because I’m grown up. Also I know the pinder barracks, which was right next to the houses. also the river Isar is behind it. in this settlement have previously lived refugees from all nations. the pinder barracks at the moment the last building is demolished. the barracks are no longer there. If do you want more information, write me at franzmann@live.de

  12. Anybody that lived in the Niedermeyer housing area, by the elementary school, around 1960 to 1963. Leave a message. Would love to hear from my friends. Nancy Winstead, James Masters, Patsy Kaffenberger, Earl Duncan, Judy Eubanks, William Chambers, The Wards and Johnsons, etc..

    • Alan Ward lives in Killeen Tx. Effie Shottle(sp) use to live in Texas, but further up north now. I’v runn across a couple others, but not many. You might find some on Face Book. Sorta know where some Robichaux are.

    • i should have said Effie Chambers

    • i was correcting a mistake — not duplicating — her name is Chambers and not

    • Robert, do you remember my sister? What years were you in Landshut? William Chambers lives in Copperas Cove, Tx. I spoke to Alan Ward not too long ago.

    • Yes Ronnie , i do remember your sister and tried to get her to come to the 2003 reunion in San Antonio. I was there from Sept 62 to early 63, before going to Erding. I am Face Book friends with Effie Chambers. She knows where a couple of Wards are. I found Wolfgang Golson (sp?) in Virginia, and Effie lives in Virginia also. I know where a few others are .
