    Like I said, I was their in 55 and we left in 56 to Permansens. Saw some pictures and seen what a difference year make, everybody have HAPPY AND HEALTHY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS. CO. A, 79th EBC

      Frank….my brother was there @ Neureut in ’54 and ’55 .He mentiones the 79th eng. but also the 39th [something or other].He was a company clerk.I was down in Nurnburg and left in feb. ’52

    516th Signal Battalion HHC Neureut. Capt Kroft Lt Warticki Sgt Ski….Matt Susich, Joe Biondi Louie Lamana from Philly….Anyone there in 1968-69? Is it still there>?

    I WAS STATIONED AT NEUREUT KASERNE FROM APRIL , 1961 UNTIL SEPT 1963 .I WAS IN THE 17TH SIGNAL THEN. I WAS TRANSFER TO THE 29TH SIGNAL PLAYED POST BASKETBALL AND FOR A WHILE I WAS ASST ATHLETIC DIRECTOR FOR THE KARLSRUHE A.Y.A. I ENJOYED GROWING UP IN GERMANY I ENLISTED AT 17 AND SPEND 30 GREAT MONTHS OVER THERE.
    I LIVE IN PHILLY ,PA LOVE TO CHAT WITH ANYONE WHO SERVED WITH ME..

      Hi,
      I was stationed at Neureut from 1961 til 1963 with the 17th Sig Battalion, B Company.
      Being nineteen at the time I was fascinated with the nearby towns especially Karlsruhe and Bruchsal.
      Don’t have any photos now.. lost them in the many moves but I remember the Star Expresso … downtown on Kaiserstrasse.. and the Papa Club nearby.

    Stationed in Neureut with the 593rd Sig. 31M 79-82.
    Had great times in the field with Soliders in 268th, 269th, 324th sig. Actually being in the field at that time was the last place I wanted to be but being out of the military, that is what I miss the most. Had friends also in 502nd Eng. SFC Adams(big boy).
    72nd HHC PAC…SPC Warren…you out there?
    After boarding a bus at the 21st replacement Frankfurt, I was sent to Taukkuanen Barracks Worms for two weeks without orders. 17 years old in a foreign country with nothing to do…..if I would have founded my way back to Frankfurt, I would have went AWOL. Finially being sent to Karlsruhe SPC Warren really changed my prospective of the US Military…Thanks

    Was stationed at Neureut 1985 to 1988 with the 324th sig co. Had a lot of good times there and worked with a lot of good people. I was a 72E

    I was stationed at Neurite from 65 67, with the 620th repair parts co. The entire kaserne is gone, their building energy efficient houses for the German citizens. I spend a little time with the 12th supply co in Mannheim. I enjoyed Neurite more than spinelli barracks

    I was in the Special Radio platoon, B company, 69th signal batallion on Neureut
    Kaserne from December 1960 to February 1963, I was part of the TSC-20 side band
    radio team that was attached to the Special Forces company in Fountainebleau
    France for a while.

    My father is Griffin Goff and he was at Neureut from 1959-1961….he is looking to re-connect with old friends from his unit and anyone else he hung out with then. Please contact me ans I will pass along your info to him. Thanks!
    Also, where can I find a written history of Neureut and maybe some old pics?

      Edit: He was actually there untill June of 1962…says he worked the gate most of his time there. Says he remembers the ‘end of the day’ song being played over the loud speakers and everyone stopping what they were doing to listen…then everyone sprinting to the EM club. Anyone recall this? Or my Dad?

      I was in B Co. 17 Th. Sig. Bn. from June 61 to Aug. 62 I worked in the Motor Pool Welding Shop with a German ( in the U.S. Army ) named Heisler. I had a very good Buddy named Francis Drake, Who went by the name Pete Drake. I attempted to contact him a few years ago, however he had passed away. He worked the front gate after transfering out of C co. Please contact me as I have some photos I would like to share, along with a million stories.

      Jim …..got a brother who was at Neureut kaserne the same time as you were ['54-'56]but he was with the 79th eng bn. 39th eng group.Hes in Oklahoma and I’m in Wisconsin.I never got to Karlsruhe as I wasdown in Nurnburg / Furth ‘ 52 to ’54 but I’m guessing you two patronized the same pubs.

      I was their 1957-1959. Lived with the Germans in Karlruhe. Was good duty as we were in the Cold War with Russia. We plotted targets for short and medium range Missiles. SPC 4 Wally Weimann

      Iwas at Neureut Kaserne in the 529th fa obs bn early 1954 to late 1955, Had a twin brother with me his name was dallas jone we were in como, like to hear from some one who was there at that time

      I was also was with the 529th FABN 1955-1956, Radar Platoon. It’s likely we saw each other. I was assigned a truck to take care and drive so I spent lots of time in the motor pool yard. I was 19 then, 76 now. It was a wonderful experience.

    Looking for a Veteran. He was an Officer stationed at Karlsruhe’s suburb of Neureut. He was dating Monika Hudel between 1962 and 1964. Monika was working as a waitress in the officers’ mess. If you have been stationed at Karlsruhe-Neureut in 1962 and frequented the officers’ mess and noticed the pretty 20 year-old Fräulein or if you know which one of your fellow officers was dating Monika, please help me to contact him.     Was at Nuereut from 77-78 with 207th made the move to Masswieler. Was the dispatcher under SFC Caudle. I live in Idaho
