I was in 1/59 ADA from 1980-1982 on a Vulcan crew. and akso boxed a little bit. The fellas called me “Rob” tryin to touch down with any of the fellas who were there.
I was a cook, though you often called us “gutrobbers” Was in B Battery
from Oct 66 – May 68. Some of the other cooks were Munoz. Thalmeyer.
Merriwether and Sgt Hubbrard. I actually went back to New Mexico in the
summer of 67 to observe a missle firing….. anybody remember?

the vulcan was A and B batteries and they took em to todendorf to fire 1973 74.. actually I was D battery and we went to crete to fire our missiles Delta Battery 1ST 59 ADA 1973 74 75
I was stationed at McCulley from Spring of 1976 to summer of 1979. I was driver, senior gunner, and then squad leader in A Btry 1/59th on the Vulcan. Sgt. York gun was supposed to replace the Vulcan but that didn’t work out.

I was stationed there 74-75. B battery 1/59. I remember /ssgt. Moore. I think he was A battery. Do any of these names or nicknames ring a bell? That was my first duty station,1974-1975 had a little fun there, visit McCully barracks back in 1995 brought back memories.
