   Leighton was my very first stop in Germany. Got there in October 1962, but was mis-assigned to 3rd Inf. Div. Trains, before the army re-organized under ROAD. Lived at Leighton, but worked at Emery. Spent my first Christmas in Germany in my BOQ room at Leighton. Walked in downtown Wuerzburg… remember the snow falling and the old Mainkuh nightclub on the river. Gorgeous city! Then, as luck would have it, this brand-new infantry officer was unceremoniously shipped out to Schweinfurt and the 30th Infantry right after Christmas. A great 2 1/2 months there, but don’t remember a name!!! Anyone remember the CG? MG FRank Mildren or Milburn?
