  1. I was a member of Company B of the 547th when the entire batallion moved there from Fort Ord, California, in November 1958. I spent 32 months in Darmstadt and was discharged in July of 1961. Anyone from the 547th during that time period?

    • Bob == I arrived at Kelly Kaserne in April of 1960 and was assigned to HQ Personnel. Sorry to say I don’t remember you but my memory is not as it used to be. My duffel bag was accidently trashed and it contained all of my contact infromation and a slew of photos. Any thing you may have to share I would certainly appreciate. Still trying to find a source that might have a roster in the 1960 = 62 time frame. This would be a source to start tracing individuals.

  15. I was stationed at Kelley from Apr 2002 to Apr 2004. I am now in Wiesbaden and just went there today to check it out. It closed a few years ago and looks so deserted and over ran with weeds. It was sad, almost like a friend was lost. Amazing how attached you become to even a temporary home when you are in the military. Gates were locked so I couldn’t go on, but seeing it from the outside was enough. Next time I go I’m going to try to get some pics.

  20. Bco 547th Engr Bn 1975-1978 (Co Armorer) Someone from that time

    • It has been awhile for me … All I can remember was a big middle field surrounded by buildings as it layout … the Gymnasium in one corner, possibly a theater as well … then the mess hall … then the Community Church … at each end one was the Commissary/ US Stripes – possibly … on the other end was where they have the group of Atomic Demolition Munition Corps … everything else was very vague … I was stationed here for almost a year … I had lived off base traveling as much as I can … Used to know a mate there, by the name of Jaime Rivera …
