  1. Delta Co . 1977-80…
Anyone remember Andy Ross, bucket loader operator 3rd Plt…Dave Borland?
Anyone remember a blue VW van I believe Borland bought it…
1Lt William W Doe III, later captain Doe was the CO when I got there. Don’t remember the 1SG’s name..they called him 1SG Gruner, as he had a weakness for that beer…SSG Stines was a plt sgt, and later returned as CSM I believe…

  3. Robert L Roby was there 1962 thru 1964. Can not remember the Compay. I was an APC driver, when I first got there we had the old M49 personnel carrier with two engines. Then shortly after that we got in the new M113′s a big emprovement. The barracks my Company was in was on the left hand side of the front gate. Some of the best times I had was at Johnson Barracks. If any one has a unit crest for sale, I will buy one. The unit crest had an eagle w/a band around its neck. We called the chocked eagle. I live in Manhattan, KS now and I am 74 years old.

    • Tom,

I was there 64 – 67 in HQ Co, was sent to the Rhine Maine in 65 to purify water for the mess halls of C Co & Bridge Co. Hung out with Yellowhorse, Salgado, and York. Got into trouble with them sneaking out of camp and getting wasted, Yellowhorse was a wild one when he drank but had a lot of fun. Spent 30 days there and watched you guys set up the ARCEs on the Rhine, pretty impressive!

      Take care,
