I’d like to hear from anyone who knew Wayne Deary (Deery) who was an 058 “Diddy-bop” around the same time.
Also, anyone who knew Shermy Nichols who was stationed there at the same time.
I was part of the AN/ULR-13 operation that did a T&E at Hof Air Base in Hof/Saale, near the Czech-East German border on the Hof-Berlin Autobahn.

  6. I dont know the time period, but my grandfather, Thurman Watson was stationed there. I believe it was right after WWII. He met my grandmother who lived in Herzo there. Her name was Irene B. Scmidt. Her brother still lives there and he worked for Heller beer. Anyways, if this rings a bell to anyone I would love to know. I realize most people who lived during that era are no longer with us, including my grandfather. I visited the base many times during the 80s and I have many fond memories there. It actually broke my heart when they closed it.
