  1. I was stationed there from Sept 1958 to Jun 1960. I was a military train conductor for the 7705 transportation battalion, that was a good time to be in Germany I saw and traveled a lot this was a great job.

  2. stationed at 21st replacement battalion 1970 to 1974.
    col bates commanding
    sgt major james
what is the history from it first being built to now

  3. I had the distinct pleasure of serving as a Military Policeman in Det. A, 570th M.P. Company stationed in Gutleut Kaserne from 1956 to 1959. I truly enjoyed my time in Germany very much, and the unit was a “dream come true” with some of the finest Military Police Officers, NCO’s and Military Policemen in the U.S. Army. As I was just a “Wet Nosed” young kid when I arrived in Frankfurt, I must give a great deal of credit to my “Senior Brothers ” in the 570th M.P. Co. as well as the German Labor Service Personnel and the wonderful German Citizens who shared my life for a while for making me a man.

  4. Reliving the experiences of 52-54 years ago by writing fiction based on my tour at the Gutleut Kaserne makes the past seem like last year. The novel ends with its hero, Steve Hellstrom, lamenting all that has happened over a smoked salmon plate and glass of Mosel at Zum deutschen Michel.and looking aehad to his return Stateside.
