    Assigned to HHC, V Corps from 79 – 82; billeted on Gibbs Kaserne, first building on the right as you drove through the front gate.

    Was stationed at 18th Finance Section form 76-78 Lived on Gibbs Kaserne- married Derek Glass from 92 Trans friend with Gilbert Williams and wife Nedith Jinks Williams- she was living at Gibbs also but work for 228th Postal in ??? Germany. Loved Germany

    Stationed at Gibbs from March 1959 to Sept 1960. Was with 92nd trans company car. Met my wife there while she was working for the Overseas Weekly news paper. (Known as the Oversexed Weekly) Have been back 18 times over the last 50 years.

      I was stationed at Gibbs Kaserne from 1959 to 1960. I met my wife there at the USO. They had a Sock Hop and invited the German girls from the Airline Stewardess school in Frankfurt. They were going to have soft drinks and lots of food, so we all went for the food. I’ll be celebrating my 50th Wedding anniversary on OCT 1, 2010. We got married in Berlin on Oct 1, 1960.
      I still keep in touch with a couple of my Army buddies, but several have passed away. We were in the triple seven deuce Signal Corp unit. Lots of secret stuff. What a great place, especiall the scnell Imbuss

    I was in 92nd trans co. Stationed at Gibbs 69/71 across from the bolling alley use to date the first sgt daughter Marilyn was her name had a brother Bobby use to play foosball all the time. I had a light green VW with Ziz Zag man painted on the doors.

      I had a light green VW with Ziz Zag man painted on the doors. I was a machanic worked on all kinds of jeeps and trucks, had the best lil diner there we ate all time. we use to party at night downtown, come back all hungry get our fatiqes on and eat free at the mess hall cause they thought we were workin hahaha! I had a blast in the Army.

        Hello-who did you buy the VW with the zig-zag man from? We used to hang out with someone named Steve & his friend John (can’t remember last names) and they owned the VW then. Would have been in 1972-1974ish…..Used to ride around in that VW…had a good time…

    I was housed at Gibbs Kaserne in 1972 and part of 1973. I was in a detachment of the Air Force working at the air strip at Bonames. Detatchmnet 41 601st air support Sqaudron headqaurtered at Sembach. Housed on the top floor of the first barracks to the right of the main building which had the first floor as the Enlisted Mans Club.

    I was stationed at Gibbs from Aug 71 to June 72 assigned to HHC V COSCOM.

    We were the headquarters company for V Corp support. Most troops in the barracks worked at the Farben building.

    I was in Gibbs from 1976 till 1979 working at 92 Trans Car CO. Had a great time in and around Frankfurt. Taking sightseeing trips to Paris, Amsterdam and the Alps, just enjoying the good German food and the BEER.

    Worked at the Abrems in the computer vans, and lived on Gibbs kaserne. Does anyone know if Delfino’s pizza is still open? Would like to hear from anyone living there at the time.

      I was an MP stationed at Gibbs Kaserne from 1983-1986. I still live here with my german wife. Delfino sold the Pizzaria in the mid 1980′s. The “Abrams” is now one of the campuses of the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University. My, how the times have changed! Frankfurt has changed…not always for the good!
