I was stationed in D-Btry 2/67th ADA in 1984 and was one of First Sargent Frye’s Battery Clerks. Then when they moved the unit back to Fort Riley I ended up with C-Btry 2/60th in K-Town.
I was stationed in Germersheim back in 1962 and 1963. I rotated back to the states in the fall of 63 and shortly thereafter the whole MP company was transferred back to the states. The MP company was transferred to Ft Benning, main post Ga. not sand hill.
While in Germersheim we pulled post patrol, gate duty and town patrol. Our barrack were across the street from the parade field, large 2 story brick buildings next to quonset huts. I remember that there were a lot of tanks there, 48′ts. I lived on and off post, 2 Shiller strasse in Lingenfeld. I enjoyed my tour in Germany, traveled all over Europe on a motorcycle and in a 1951, 220 Mercedes, the one with the suicide doors. Also my son was born in Heidelberg Germany in 1962. He later put in 27 years in the US air force, 25 out of 27 at Little Rock. Any body remember me, Richard Duhamel, send me an e-mail. hausedoc@swbell.net….Take care and God Bless.
I was stationed in Germershein in 1958, I was transfered to Verdun, France as a Nikie company was moving in. We were the only company ( 39 Ordenance) on the base. Would sure like to hear from someone from the 39th. Tony

John, I was scanning the interest looking for pictures of Germersheim when I saw your posting. My husband ( Gary) was stationed at Germersheim Army Depot from 1969-1972. We lived off base in Lingenfeld. I remember Bruce Brintnall and his wife. They were our bowling partners on a league on base. Also, he was my doctor. (Our first child was born in Heidelberg.) We used to get Chrismas cards from them, but haven’t heard from them in a long time.
I always thought we would get back over there one day, but haven’t so far. I’m glad I took lots of pictures. Jean
