I was OIC of Detachment G, 201st ASA Company on Drake Kaserne supporting 3AD from Sep 1979 until Nov 1980 when I transferred down to the 409th ASA Company, 502nd ASA Battalion in Augsburg. Served with a great bunch of Soldiers and we very much enjoyed our time there and our youngest son was born during our tour in Frankfurt.

  4. Elijah Rivers (Then SGT) says:

    I was at Drake!

I was assigned to HHC 3AD. I was the G-2 Admin NCO from December 1981 to December 1984. Those were indeed some of the best years of my adult life. I am still in contact with people that I served with during that time period. About 8 of us reunite every year. If you were there then drop me an email and join us at our next reunion.

  5. BJ Bower-Hansen says:

XO of the 503rd AG Co, 3AD was my first AD assignment after OBC at Indianapolis, IN. I was so thrilled to be in Germany. My family arrived in early July, so our first 4th of July was in 1983. I was there until Oct 1984 when I was transferred to Schloss Kaserne in Butzbach.
