I was stationed at Daley Barracks from Jan 1953 tp August 1955. With the 1st Battalion of the First Infantry Division. I’ve been back to Daley Barracks twice.
Enjoyed Germany and Bad K very much at that time. I enjoyed the townspeople especially those with whom I played bridge. Last year, on a Rhein / Danube/ Main River Cruise, we were serenaded on the vessel (for about two hours) by a band that plays American music today in a town that still has an American base – and one of those band members (now about 75 yrs. old) used to play in the Band in the Casino/Dance Hall in Bad Kissingen in 1953-1955 where I used to dance.
