   Stationed in Gelnhausen 1986-89 with 1-33 ar / 3-8 cav. Have awesome memories of this beautiful little town that I grew to love. I wish I could have stayed longer. I returned to Gelnhausen this past winter and it is still charming as ever although there is no military presence anymore. With the Army leaving after the Gulf war the locals tell me the economy has really gotten bad. I guess they are trying to boost it up with tourism. I only stayed in Gelnhausen for two days but it brought back many memories of friends that I made and lost contact with. Maybe i will be able to find some on this page.

   Beautiful Officer housing on the hill. Apple orchards, wild cherry trees. Fantastic running in the hills behind the house. Great memories.
