HHC 1/54 Inf. Aug 66/Mar68 Davey Crockett Mortar Sec. When DC was declared obsolete I went to HHC supply truck driver. Eventually got promoted to Supply Sgt. Great job. Top Sgt. Was Sgt. DeLucia. Great boss and man. Will always remember Graf, Hoenfels, Wildflicken. Mautkeller downtown, smoked beer, Rod & Gun Club Andy a whole lot of great guys from all over the USA.. Travelled all over Germany and 30 days in England. Spent 18 months thinking about going back to the world of the round doorknobs and when the time came to go I would have liked to stay a little bit longer. Missed the guys and good times and one Rita Driesel from Strullendorf. Still in touch with Bob Cloer, Fran Wild, Jerry Badders, Al Basco, Ed Pitak. Would love to hear from Cal Woodhouse and anyone else in HHC 1/54 at that time. Woodeye8501@aol.com

I try to find “Jack”/John Wicks. He was stationed at Warner Barracks Bamberg 1967/68 and 68/69 in Vietnam. If samebody knows something about him, please give me an answer!
Boy do I feel old. I was with the 26th Inf Reg (Blue Spaders) in ’54-55. We were the 1st in operation Gyroscope swapping with the troops from Ft Riley. Bamberg was great. I went back in ’90 and the town was basically the same. Loved Bamberg and G company.
I was a member of G Company, 2nd Battalion, 85th Infantry Regiment, 10th Infantry Division that replaced the 26th Infantry in 1955 in Operation Gyroscope. I agree about Bamberg. I married a girl from Bamberg in 1958 and we try to get back every other year. Ich Bien Ein Bamberger. LOL
