  1. Just came across this website by accident. Worked for
TEMPELHOF Air Force Base from 1955 – 58. Some of my best years! Had a friend in Chatterough, France that was shipped to this US Army Hospital in Berlin in 1957, they saved his life since he already had an infection. My gosh this brings back memories, I have now lived in California for 53 years – but still miss the old places. It all has changed so much now; but my heart is with the US Military that gave their All for Berlin – they never asked for anything in return and Berlin would be absolutely nothing without the help of the American Forces. God bless you and all the men and women that sacrificed in those horrendous years.

I was born in Berlin in 1934 and remember the war like it was yesterday.

  2. I was a patient in or near September 1989. I was married to a military member. I became very ill and fell into a coma for 2 months. I have a huge memory gap during this period in my life. I since have been stricken with illness again. I am in need of my medical records from my hospitalation. If anyone can help, please email me for more info. I am desperate to find my records which may help me recover from my current sickness. TYVM

  3. BTW Sp4/Sp5 91B(A) 1983 to 1985 god I miss the old days when the wall was up and i ran the streets of berlin like it was my candy store. wall was up over 5000 restauranst bars and night clubs in West Berlin, 24 hours a day 7 days a week there was something going on! Eirschale many many crazy nights hanging out with Greg Nixon pharmacy tech, not too many people got banned from going to East Berlin But Greg and I did for 6 months then had to beg commander to allow us to go back over, almost created internationl incident! Never did tell anyone after E-8 MP got done chewing our asses out for being AN HOUR LATE and smoking going thru check point and out of uniform, no hats on crossing….etc(you were to be in full class A’s hat on looking straight ahead no smoking or joking) he told us to leave car (Greg was not drunk but toasty)get the u-bahn so we go to u-bahn and not thinking where we were jumped on the WRONG ubahn went into EAST GERMANY AND STOPPED AT CLOSED UBAHNS WITH EAST GERMANY GUARDS ON PLATFORMS, I freaked and told Greg we are on wrong train he laughed and said yeah right! I said we are on the wrong train…he started to freak …what do we do? what do we do? I said sit down stare straight ahead make it look like we are supposed to be here on this U-bahn, i was older and i was scared sober! we got off in west berlin I think the French sector got off dark 12 mid nite, finally found a bus and jumped on luckily it took us abck to haupt abhn hof and we knew where to go from there! What an adventure i will never forget the drunken time there!

  4. I was transferred there as Chief of OB-GYN 1956 to 1958. Absolutely loved it. Christine Stindt was my nurse and savior.

  5. I had my son in this hospital in November 1993……..great nurses!

  6. I had 3 of my children at this hospital.

  7. would you have a record of my birth certicate and can it be mailed to me?

    Thank you Anthony Person

    • You would have to contact the state department for birth certificate, The Berlin Brigade used to issue honary certificate of birth as a keepsake of being born behind the rion curtain! You would be looking for record of birth overseas to american parents!

  8. Is the hospital still active? If so, under what name? I have a client whose daughter was born there while he was in the service, and they would like to take her to see it.

    Thanks.
